Cedar Ridge sixth graders Victoria Schwob, Brinley Hopper and Lori Derouin placed first in Minnesota in the Wonder League Robotics Competition 9-12 age bracket. According to the competition website (www.makewonder.com), the students used Dash and Dot robotics to design solutions to real-world science and technology challenges by programming and building extensions for their Dash and Dot robots. The teams were judged on smart use of algorithms and sensors, efficient and clean code and creative problem solving. The Wonder Workshop coding kits were provided by a grant awarded from the Foundation for Eden Prairie Schools to take learning to the next level.
