Eden Prairie Schools Selects Cedar Ridge Associate Principal
Eden Prairie Schools has selected Stephanie Baker as the new associate principal of Cedar Ridge Elementary School. The selection follows an extensive search and interview process.
Baker is currently assisting Cedar Ridge Elementary School with instructional support. Since 2015, she has served as the Q Comp Coordinator and Instructional Excellence Coordinator for the district. In this role, she provides effective coaching to support teachers in their instructional practices.
Baker has worked in Eden Prairie Schools since August 2000 where she started as a 5th and 6th grade teacher at Oak Point Intermediate School. In her time in Eden Prairie Schools, Baker has worked at Eden Lake Elementary School as a 6th grade teacher, social emotional learning coordinator, Q Comp Coach/Observer and Reading Specialist. She has also served as Q Comp Coach/Observer at Cedar Ridge Elementary School prior to her current role.
“Stephanie cares deeply about students and supporting all staff,” said incoming Cedar Ridge Principal Amy Kettunen Jahnke. “I am excited to partner with her as we focus on inspiring each student every day.”
Baker holds an education specialist and leadership degree from the University of St. Thomas. She completed her masters of elementary education at the University of Minnesota and bachelors of arts degree in speech and communication from St. Olaf College.
Baker officially takes her new role on July 1, 2018.
