Jodi Markworth has been hired as the new principal of Cedar Ridge Elementary School.
“I am so very excited about joining the team at Cedar Ridge and the Eden Prairie school district,” said Markworth. “Both have a reputation of excellence. The district’s mission and core values align with my core beliefs.”
Markworth is completing her fifth year as an elementary principal in Richfield Public Schools. Previously she held positions as an instructional coach and first, second, and fifth grade teacher for Robbinsdale Public Schools.
Markworth holds a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education with a minor in special education from Augsburg College. She also has her masters in educational leadership from Minnesota State College and University, and Minnesota State University, Mankato, along with a specialist in education degree in educational administration from the University of St. Thomas.
“We are excited to bring Jodi onboard,” said Superintendent Dr. Curt Tryggestad. "Her experience and talents will be a great fit for Cedar Ridge and the Eden Prairie community."
Markworth’s start date with Eden Prairie Schools is July 1.
