EP Online is a comprehensive K-12 school open to all students in Minnesota. There is no cost to attend EP Online if you live in Minnesota. Students enroll in EP Online as full-time students.

Eden Prairie Schools provides devices to students that have the software and support to start learning online with us.

EP Online is open to all residents of Minnesota, free of charge. There is no tuition for Minnesota residents.

If you are interested in attending EP Online while living outside of Minnesota, contact the Welcome Center (952-975-7008) to discuss this option.

Core classes are mainly synchronous, compared to electives that are typically asynchronous. As students get older, there will be more open elective time, thus more a more asynchronous schedule. However, teachers are available throughout the school day to assist with any questions students may have. 

EP Online students grade K-8 will receive an iPad and high school students will receive a MacBook. Students access their courses and class information on Schoology; grades K-2 will also use Seesaw. Student grades and other information for can be accessed through Infinite Campus.

EP Online teachers have been hired and trained by Eden Prairie Schools, and about 76 percent of our Eden Prairie Schools teachers have a Masters' degree or beyond. Our teachers are knowledgeable and experienced at teaching students in person and in online classrooms!

EP Online has two special education teachers who can help students to accommodate their needs. We also work with students who have existing IEPs. To learn more, please visit this page.

The workload greatly depends on the grade level and the courses the students are taking. However, students may work on their homework and projects during their independent work time. Students may be able to complete their assignments during the school day, with the help of teachers being available to assist students.

Everything is available from the first day of class. 

EP Online will provide physical supplies for courses that require in-person materials. Local students may pick up their materials in person, or may get them shipped to their home. 

Absolutely, EP Online offers a flexible environment that allows students to take their classes anywhere, even on vacation! If students plan to be out of the state for an extended period of time, please contact us EPOnline@edenpr.org so we can work to create a specific plan for them.

Yes, EP Online students join us from Minnesota to Africa!

Eden Prairie Schools class sizes are smaller than any other metro school!

Grades K-2 range from 18-22 students.

Grades 3-5 range from 22-25 students.

Middle and high school classes can vary from high 20s - low 30s.

Yes! EP Online students have access to both hard copy and digital reading resources. Local students may pick up the hard copy materials in person, or may get them shipped to their home.

EP Online is part of Eden Prairie Schools, a highly-rated public school system in the Twin Cities. We have a 95 percent graduation rate and our students' academic achievement routinely exceed state averages. Eden Prairie Schools provides an excellent education and we are bringing that excellence to any student in Minnesota who wants to experience it.

At the elementary level, we provide more live time with a teacher than other online programs. Teachers launch lessons live with students, have daily check-ins, and meet with students throughout the school day. Specialist teachers provide direct instruction in physical education, music and art. 

Our secondary teachers are deep content experts, hired and trained by Eden Prairie Schools, who use their expertise to enhance the online curriculum. They are skilled at building relationships with students and ensure that parents/guardians are involved to support their students' learning.

At all levels, we provide support services including social workers, psychologists, English language learning, special education, and other services traditionally available at physical school buildings.

All EP Online students may get involved in a wide variety of athletics and activities options - online, in Eden Prairie, or at their hometown school!
