All students must be up-to-date with the required immunizations in order to attend school in the Fall. It is particularly important for parents of kindergartners to submit their immunization information to the Welcome Center and incoming seventh graders to check their student’s immunization records in the Parent Portal prior to the start of the 2019-20 school year.
Kindergartners
Minnesota state law requires the following immunizations for kindergartners:
• Five doses of DTap
• Three doses of hepatitis B
• Two doses of varicella or doctor-confirmed immunity
• Four doses of polio
• Two doses of MMR
Seventh Graders
Your student requires the above kindergarten immunizations, plus the following:
• tetanus-pertussis booster
• meningococcal vaccination
Parents should make an appointment at their family clinic to ensure their child is immunized before the start of the 2019-2020 school year. After your child receives the needed vaccines, please provide verification from their clinic to your child’s school by mail or fax before Sept. 3, 2019. If you have questions, please call (952) 975-7043. For information on low cost or no cost clinics visit the free clinic directory online. To make an appointment at a low cost or no cost clinic call (612) 543-5555 or (952) 563-8900.
