Eden Prairie Students Celebrated at NUMATS Minnesota Event

The Northwestern University Midwest Academic Talent Search (NUMATS) held its Minnesota Award Celebration recognizing students for exemplary performance on standardized tests. Students who attended Central Middle School in 2018-19 were recognized at the ceremony this October. Congratulations to:

- Rohil Garg, 7^th, ACT Performance

- Siona Kaura, 7^th, ACT Performance

- Shruthi Kundoor, 8^th, ACT Performance

- Melody Li, 7^th, ACT Performance; PSAT Math (6^th Eden Lake Elementary)

- Brandon Sattler, 7^th, ACT Performance

Inclement Weather: Distance learning for K-1, Jan. 15

Due to inclement weather, tomorrow is a distance learning day for K-1 students in Eden Prairie Schools. Grades 2 and 7-12 students, and EP Online, will continue with Friday’s learning as planned.

Please be aware of the following:

Students in kindergarten and grade 1 will bring their iPads and chargers home with them today. Please ensure the device is charged and ready for tomorrow. Look for communication from your child’s school/principal.
Students in grades 2 will continue with the virtual learning day tomorrow.
Students in grades 3-6 do not have school tomorrow for teacher planning to prepare for students’ return to in-person learning.
Students in grades 7-12 and TASSEL will be in distance learning.
Any student who was previously scheduled to be on-site at a school tomorrow will be in distance learning.
High school athletics will proceed as planned on Friday unless players are contacted by their coach.
There is no change for students in EP Online.
Little Eagles preschool is cancelled.
Eagle Zone child care will continue to be provided for essential workers whose children are currently enrolled for Jan. 15. District transportation for child care will not be running on Friday. Caregivers should drop off their child at their child care site.

Familias de Las Escuelas de Eden Prairie:
Debido al mal tiempo, mañana será un día de aprendizaje a distancia para los estudiantes de Kínder y primer grado. El aprendizaje de los viernes para estudiantes de segundo grado, y los estudiantes desde séptimo grado al grado doce y estudiantes en EP Online continuará como planeado.

Por favor tome en cuenta lo siguiente:

Los estudiantes de kínder y primer grado hoy llevarán sus iPads y cargadores a casa. Por favor asegúrense de que el dispositivo este cargado y listo para mañana. Espere más información de su escuela.
Los estudiantes de segundo grado continuarán con sus clases virtuales mañana.
Los estudiantes de tercer a sexto grado no tienen clases mañana, es un día de planeación para que las maestras de estos grados se preparen para el regreso a clases presenciales.
Los estudiantes de séptimo grado a grado doce y TASSEL estarán en aprendizaje a distancia.
Estudiantes que tenían programado venir a la escuela mañana tendrán aprendizaje a distancia.
Programas de atletismo en high school continuarán como planeados, al menos que el entrenador contacte a los jugadores para avisarles de algún cambio.
No hay cambios para los estudiantes en EP Online.
Las clases de prescolar en Little Eagles están canceladas.
El programa Eagle Zone continuará ofreciendo guardería para niños de trabajadores esenciales que están inscritos para el 15 de enero. Este viernes no habrá transporte por parte del distrito. Los padres deben llevar a sus hijos/as al programa.
