Eden Prairie Schools Celebrates its School Lunch Heroes

More than 100 lunchroom attendants and drivers make up the Eden Prairie Schools Child Nutrition team. These dedicated staff have been working all year to provide healthy and nutritious meals for our students. While school was in session, our Lunch Heroes touched the lives of each student at some point during the week as they prepared and served meals. For example, more than 750,000 cartons of milk passed through their hands along with 8,500 pounds of lettuces and salad spinach mixes! While students have begun distance learning and most staff are working from home, Lunch Heroes continue to make meals for all children 18 and under as well as TASSEL students, free of charge. Through the end of April nearly 51,000 meals have been prepared, packed and delivered. In recognition of Child Nutrition week, we salute you!
