Small Class Sizes
We are committed to low class sizes and have the lowest average kindergarten through 2nd grade class sizes in the west metro.
Our approach to learning inspires and empowers each student by fostering meaningful relationships, maintaining high expectations, promoting continuous growth, and providing authentic opportunities for engagement.
Learners thrive best in an environment that challenges and nurtures individuals, fosters mutual respect and celebrates diversity. Eden Prairie Schools strives to meet the unique educational needs of every student who walks through our doors. We offer a variety of outstanding academic opportunities for all students at different levels.
Highly Qualified Staff
We attract, develop and retain some of the most talented and sought-after professionals in the state. All of our teachers are fully qualified for their positions, and 76% have a masters degree or beyond.
The safety and well being of all students is a top priority. The recent referendum has funded additional safety features like protective glass, improved communication systems and lock-down equipment.
We believe family involvement is one of the primary keys to student success. We partner with parents to enhance the educational environment for all of our students. Parents are welcome and invited to numerous school events, meetings and volunteer opportunities.
Our curriculum focused on building a strong foundation in core subject areas while also promoting critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and communication across all learning.
Students engage in musical education each week. Eden Prairie Schools is one of the few districts to offer orchestra at the elementary level.
From athletics and the arts to student clubs and organizations, there are exciting opportunities for every student. Learn more about the variety of activities available to your student at www.edenpr.org/elem-activities.
The Core Values of our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) system focus on three character pillars – Be Safe, Be Responsible and Be Kind. All students work together with their classroom teachers and staff to embed these traits into our everyday learning at Forest Hills Elementary School. The PBIS Program and the Responsive Classroom Program work hand in hand to develop our students into outstanding community members.
Our students have multiple chances to serve others in the school and community. We believe learners thrive in an environment that challenges and nurtures individuals, fosters mutual respect and celebrates diversity.
We believe each learner has unique talents and gifts. Through personalized learning, teachers work to understand, care and nurture student strengths, while students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning and explore their interests and passions.
