Three Candidates File for Eden Prairie School Board

Three Eden Prairie community members have filed for one open seat in this fall’s School Board election. The election will be held November 6, and the candidate elected will serve a one-year term.


The School Board Candidates are Lauren Crandall, Fadumo A. Hassan and Sue Ellen Toppings.

 

There are three ways to vote:

  • Absentee voting is available Sept. 21 through Nov. 5 at the Eden Prairie City Center (8080 Mitchell Road) Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Direct Ballot voting is available Oct. 30 through Nov. 5 at the Eden Prairie City Center (8080 Mitchell Road). During direct ballot voting, voters cast their own ballot into the machine like they would do at their precinct on Election Day. Voting will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  Additional City Center absentee voting hours are Saturday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • On Election Day (Nov. 6) at their polling location. Voters can find their poll location online at pollfinder.sos.state.mn.us.
     

Voters can view a sample ballot online using My Ballot at myballotmn.sos.state.mn.us.

Candidate Forum

The League of Women Voters will host an Eden Prairie School Board candidate forum on Wednesday, Sept. 12 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Eden Prairie Council Chambers (8080 Mitchell Road). The event is free and open to the public. The rebroadcast schedule and streaming video link for the forum can be found at lwvmeph.org.
