Please join us in recognizing Amy Kettunen Jahnke, Principal of Cedar Ridge Elementary, for National Principals Month. We asked Amy a few questions about her motivations as an educator and leader. Here are her responses.
Why did you choose education?
Working in education allows me to share my love of learning with kids and adults every day. As an educator, I love that we are presented with a new opportunity to inspire our students with new experiences and learning each day at school.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
I see each day as a new beginning. I am excited to see our students and I am eager to support our staff members and families. Each day at school presents new opportunities for adults and students to learn and grow as individuals and as a community. Leading a community of learners to accomplish more than we thought we could is my jam!
