Please join us in recognizing Stephen Shepherd, Associate Principal of Cedar Ridge Elementary, for National Associate Principals Month. We asked Stephen a few questions about his motivations as an educator and leader. Here are his responses:
Why did you choose education?
I chose to be an educator because the opportunity to serve as an educator is truly a blessing. I wanted to be an advocate for students and do my part to contribute to a quality learning experience and help cultivate students both academically and socially.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Serving as an educator is my calling. The opportunity to partner with educators, families, and students, to create and sustain a strong learning community where students can grow and inform a shift for a better world, is what gets me out of the bed each morning.
Stay tuned for more stories from our associate principals!
