Please join us in recognizing Brett Lobben, Associate Principal of Prairie View Elementary, for National Associate Principals Month. We asked Brett a few questions about his motivations as an educator and leader. Here are his responses:
Why did you choose education?
For me, it has always been about making a difference in the life of a child. Making connections, building strong, trusting relationships and helping students learn and grow…that’s why I got into education.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
The smiles, the high-fives, the fist bumps…the subtle gestures that are evidence of the strong, unconditional relationships that exist within our school, relationships that are foundational to high levels of learning. I am so thankful for the students, staff and families of Prairie View. The sense of community and level of commitment to each other is really special and awesome to be a part of.
That concludes National Associate Principals Month! Thank you for all of the wonderful stories posted on social media. We will pass along your kind words to each associate principal.
