Nine Eden Prairie High School seniors were honored at the 14th annual Above and Beyond Awards Ceremony on April 29 at Eden Prairie High School by the Eden Prairie A.M. Rotary and Eden Prairie Schools. Students honored include Georgia Buttgereit, Victor Damptey, Gwendolyn Desa, Erik Duxstad, Derek Engelhaupt, Marco Hernandez, Ahmed Issa, Dasia Maifea-Phomsamouth and Joshua Manion.
The ceremony was established to honor graduating seniors who have faced and overcome significant challenges, who have contributed a high degree of service on behalf of others, or who have made important gains in their personal or school career. College textbook scholarships will also be awarded to each honoree.
