EPHS National Merit and AP Scholars Announced

EPHS National Merit, AP Scholars AnnouncedEden Prairie High School has eight National Merit Semifinalists and 319 total AP Scholars.

 

The results from last year’s Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test (PSAT) and AP tests are in. Eden Prairie students have again posted amazing academic achievements. Eight Eden Prairie High School students are on the 2018-2019 list of National Merit Semifinalists. They are the top one-half of one percent of juniors who took the PSAT last fall.

 

Eden Prairie High School had 319 students listed in the AP Scholar category. These students have successfully passed three or more AP exams during their high school career. The students are listed in various scholar categories designated by the College Board.

 

Results from the 2018 College Board’s AP tests show many students at EPHS engaging, and succeeding, in rigorous academic programming. Eight hundred and thirty-five students took AP exams this past spring. Thirty-five percent of the class of 2018 left EPHS with at least one score of three or higher on an AP test. Eighty-two percent of the AP exams taken by EPHS students earned college credit.

 

The list of National Merit Commended Students, National Hispanic Recognition Scholars and National Achievement Semifinalists for 2018-2019 will be announced at a later date. EPHS will honor National AP Scholars and National Merit Scholars at a breakfast on Nov. 9.
