Crandall announces resignation

Lauren Crandall has resigned from Eden Prairie Schools Board of Directors effective Sept. 23. Crandall was in the last year of her term and her seat was up for election in November. Because the election is imminent, the School Board is not required to make an appointment or hold a special election to fill her seat. Crandall recently moved out of the district, and can no longer serve on the board. Chair Elaine Larabee made the announcement at the board’s regular meeting Sept. 23. Board members expressed their gratitude to Crandall for her work on the board, and service to residents, families and students of Eden Prairie Schools.

There are 10 candidates for four open seats on the School Board, which will be decided on Nov. 5. Learn more about the candidates at the Secretary of State’s website.
