Central Middle School Science Teacher Cathy Bockenstedt received the Robert E. Yager Exemplary Teaching Award from the National Science Teachers’ Association for her innovation in the field of science education.
“To paraphrase Isaac Newton, this recognition is earned only by 'standing on the shoulders of the giants,’ which are the staff in Eden Prairie Schools. It is credit to all of us when any one person earns recognition,” said Bockenstedt.
This award is presented to only six K-12 classroom science teachers across the country each year. These teachers are recognized for their passion to make excellent science education accessible to students of the 21st century and beyond, exemplary innovation in the field of science education, and continued professional development.
