Eden Prairie Schools has selected Clayton Ellis as the new associate principal of Oak Point Elementary School. The selection follows an extensive search and interview process.
Ellis has served as the dean of students at Valley View Middle School in Bloomington Public Schools since 2016. He previously served as the dean at Indian Mounds Elementary School in Bloomington and also worked as an elementary 1st, 3rd and 5th grade teacher at Indian Mounds since 2002.
“I am confident Clayton will be an excellent fit for Oak Point,” said Oak Point principal Joel Knorr. “He has strong experience with Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports; good communication skills with students, staff and families; and a commitment to our mission and inspiring each student.”
Ellis holds an education specialist and leadership degree from the Minnesota State University Mankato. He completed his Master of Education at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota and Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Minnesota State University Mankato.
