Below is an example of a typical progression of courses through a student’s 4 years at EPO. Generally, we recommend students of a certain grade level to take courses appropriate to that grade in order to stay on track. However, if a student has transferred credits from another school or is on a different sequence of study, students have the flexibility to take courses outside of their grade level.
Example: a 10th grade student who has already taken US History may take another Social Studies course instead.
Example: An 11th grade student who has already taken Chemistry should take Biology or Earth & Space Science.
Students in 9th and 10th grade are expected to take a full course load of 4 courses a semester. Students in 11th and 12th grade may take 3-4 courses a semester.
