Welcome to Kindergarten

Join one of our virtual sessions to hear from a principal, a kindergarten teacher, members of our special education team and current kindergarten parents. Get your questions answered, understand the enrollment process, and learn more about kindergarten!

It's time to climb on board the big yellow school bus and take a trip to school! Play on the playground, listen to a special story in a real kindergarten classroom and enjoy a school lunch with your new friends. 

The school bus will pick you up from a local park at 10:00 a.m., take you to school, then return you to the park by 12:00 p.m.! A parent, guardian or family friend must attend with their incoming kindergartner.

If your student is a morning or full-day Little Eagle and you would like to participate in Kindergarten Adventure Day, please RSVP below. Your Little Eagle should ride the bus or be dropped off at school as usual, and you can meet them at school at 10:15 a.m. to enjoy the event together!

This year, incoming kindergarten families can experience the world of online learning by virtually observing a live class. Witness the magic of lesson launches led by our kindergarten teacher, Ms. Mattei, and our enthusiastic students!

KinderCamp is an opportunity for students entering kindergarten in Eden Prairie Schools to build confidence about the start of the school year. Students will experience the elements of a “typical" kindergarten day that will include tours of the building, meeting new friends, learning about their school and spending time in their new school building.

KinderCamp registration information for 2025-26 will be available in Spring! Stay tuned!

Complete this immunization form or provide a copy of your child’s immunization record from your clinic. You may submit partial immunization information at the time of registration and may call in, mail, fax or drop off any changes to the records that occur before the start of school.

Please submit a copy of your child’s birth certificate, passport or approved official documentation.

Please submit a copy of the front page of a lease, property closing papers, or utility bill if it has the parent/guardian’s correct name and address (dated within two months). If your child is not a resident of the Eden Prairie School District, please also complete the Open Enrollment Application.

The state of Minnesota requires that all children be screened before they enter kindergarten. The screening is free. View current appointment availability online or call 952-975-6940.
