Students from EPHS are representing their school and district as National Merit Semifinalists in 2022. EPHS has 11 National Merit Semifinalist students, up from 9 last year.
We are proud of their achievements and hope they continue onto the final round!
EPHS plans on honoring National AP Scholars and National Merit Scholars at a breakfast on November 12, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Students interested in becoming a National Merit Scholar must take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) to quality for recognition into the program. They must also officially enter the program, which includes demonstrating a record of consistent high academic performance and a letter of recommendation from their principal. Of the 1.5 million students who apply, only 50,000 of those with the highest scores are selected - making it an extremely competitive process.
