Karla Bratrud appointed to School Board through this year's Special Election

On June 18, the Eden Prairie Schools Board of Directors approved the appointment of Karla Bratrud to the board. She was named to fill the vacancy left by Director Veronica Stoltz, who resigned May 24.

By state law, the board must conduct a special election this November. The winner of the election will be seated once the special election results are canvassed and will fill the remainder of the term, ending Bratrud’s service on the School Board. The term lasts until January, 2023.

Bratrud previously served on the board from 2012 to 2016. In 2019, she was appointed to fill a 11-month School Board vacancy.

Candidate filing for the Nov. 2 Special Election opens July 27.
