The city of Eden Prairie has transformed over the years - once a quaint farming community to now a bustling suburb at the top of many best cities lists. Our local schools have also felt these changes - from a one building district to now eight schools and nearly 9,000 students. From chalkboards to smartboards, and notebooks to laptops--change is inevitable.
Eden Prairie - like most cities - is expected to shift again in the next decade as our population and the world around it does. This in turn will impact our schools. That is why Eden Prairie Schools is unveiling a community-engaged process referred to as, Designing Pathways: the roadmap to reach EACH student. This process will help guide us through academic and facilities planning for the next decade.
Remaining transparent and neutral through this process is of the utmost importance, which is why we have partnered with TeamWorks International to facilitate the work. TeamWorks is a local company that has a strong track record of working with school districts through change, planning and facility design processes, which have resulted in wide community support. Their guidance will ensure the process remains authentic and is not unduly driven by district administration.
