The First Lady and I send our congratulations to Eden Prairie Schools as you celebrate your 100th anniversary.
Eden Prairie Schools has experienced remarkable growth since the Eden Prairie Consolidated School originally welcomed students in a brick building at the top of School Road in 1924. The hundreds of educators and thousands of students in Eden Prairie Schools we see today are a testament to the important role these schools have played in fostering learning and community over the last century.
To the Eden Prairie students:
You make me more optimistic than ever about this nation’s future. Your generation is the best-educated, most accomplished, and most tolerant in our history. So, study hard, show kindness and compassion, and make your voices heard on today’s biggest issues. You will play a crucial role in shaping America’s future. What you learn at Eden Prairie Schools and how you apply that knowledge when you graduate are going to determine what the next 50 years of this nation will look like, and you have the power to make a difference.
To the Eden Prairie teachers, administrators, and staff:
Your devotion to our children embodies the spirit of America—ready to serve and eager to see others thrive.
The greatness of a Nation is measured in part by how it prepares the next generation to succeed, and Jill and I are in awe of
the remarkable folks like you who are entrusted with this responsibility. Every one of us has been shaped by someone who inspired our curiosity and helped us find confidence, who guided us to think more clearly and pushed us to strive for better. Thank you for not just what you do but who you are.
I wish everyone across Eagle Nation all the best as you celebrate this centennial anniversary.
