Eagle Zone Summer 2024

When is registration open?
Summer registration is open at edenprairie.ce.eleyo.com through August 8, 2024, registration fees are $50/child ($100 max per family). 

How will contracts be accepted? 
We will accept contracts on a first come, first serve basis. Please register as soon as possible with all scheduled dates to guarantee a spot in Eagle Zone for Summer 2024. To ensure your desired schedule, please complete your entire child(s) schedule for the 12 weeks of summer to guarantee your enrollment for all preferred dates. Schedule changes will only be accepted based on staffing availability at each site. There may be limited availability for drop-ins at each site throughout the summer. These will all be approved based on day-to-day site availability to keep our student to staff numbers at a 15:1 ratio as required by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS). You will receive an email with your acceptance from Eleyo once your contract has been approved.

I created my summer contract and it hasn't been approved yet but I need to change my scheduled dates. What do I do?
Once you create a contract, you are not able to make any changes to your schedule while it is still pending. After it has been approved, you will receive an email with this confirmation and you can add, delete and modify your schedule in any way outside of 14 calendar days to the day you need care!

Eagle Zone will be at two sites this summer – Prairie View Elementary and Forest Hills Elementary.

For full-day summer care with age/grade specific activities and field trips, register for Eagle Zone at Prairie View. 

If your child is participating in Targeted Services (TS) or Extended School Year (ESY) and needs additional care, register for Eagle Zone at Forest Hills. Any siblings of a child participating is Targeted Services or Extended School Year, including incoming kindergarteners signing up for JR Eagle Zone, should also register for Eagle Zone at Forest Hills. 

• If your student is enrolled in Targeted Services or Extended School Year, you must enroll at Forest Hills Eagle Zone for the entire summer. We will not offer more than one contract for families or permit "switching sites." Forest Hills will still have full-day care on days when classes are not offered.

If your child is attending EPIC camps or classes, you can enroll in Eagle Zone at Forest Hills. However, we will have limited spots for EPIC only students. Instead, we recommend enrolling at Prairie View for Eagle Zone, and taking advantage of the extended EPIC hours and enrolling in both a morning and afternoon session for a full day of activities. 

Extended School Year Program and Targeted Services families will have priority at the Eagle Zone Summer Forest Hills location. We will have limited availability at Forest Hills for EPIC enrichment courses only.

How do I create a contract?
Each new season (school year and summer) families must create a new contract for each child.

• Create or go into your Eleyo account.
• Register for the session you want by clicking on Enroll Now, and follow the prompts to choose the season - Summer 2024. 
• Choose a location (it must be at the correct school for your child based on their grade level for fall of 2024) and click Continue. 
• Print the terms and conditions for future reference, read the terms and conditions and click on the box, click Continue.
• Click on the days of care that you would like to have. You must have at least one day on your schedule to create a contract. Click Continue.
  TIP: If you click on the abbreviated day at the top of the month when selecting your schedule, all of that day of the week for the entire month will be selected, i.e. click on the Mo and all available Mondays will highlight. This makes adding days much simpler for families.
• Answer all the questions asked, this helps our staff get to know your child and how best to serve you. 
• Enter payment information. 
• Click to finalize registration.

You can register another child at this time if needed.

When you create your Eagle Zone Summer 2024 contract, you will select the days of care that you would like to have. You must have at least one day on your schedule to register for programming.

How do I change my schedule?
Go into your child’s account, and click on change schedule. Click on the day that you would like to remove or add to your child’s current schedule. Click on submit schedule change. It will be reviewed and approved. Changes made to the schedule will have to be 14 days in advance. Days scheduled will be charged if you do not drop before the 14-day notice. If you want to add a day that is less than two weeks away, you can request a drop-in through your childcare site. Drop-in days must be approved and cost slightly more than a regular day. Drop-in days are not guaranteed. 

Why do I have to give a 14-day notice?
We schedule our staff at least a week in advance in order to keep our staff-to-child ratios in compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS). As a certified child care program, DHS requires a 1:15, staff to child ratio. If your child(ren) does not attend a day that was scheduled, we still have to maintain our staff for that day to be courteous to our staff.  Drop-ins are only allowed if we have enough staff to cover for your child.

Example of a Daily Schedule

Program participants are asked to bring various items to Eagle Zone for the 2024 Summer:

• Water Bottle Labeled with Child's Name: Drinking fountains will not be available, but the water bottle refilling stations will be. Please have your child bring a water bottle each day.

• Lunch & Beverage: A dry lunch and beverage should be brought to Eagle Zone everyday, unless otherwise noted ahead of time by program staff. All students need to bring their own cold lunch. There will be no refrigeration or ability to heat up lunches. 

• Optional Additional Morning & Afternoon Snack: A morning and afternoon snack will be provided by Eagle Zone. However, you may bring a snack if your student has specific food needs or wants to have an additional morning/afternoon snack.

• Appropriate Clothing for Outdoor Play: Children should ALWAYS have appropriate clothing for outdoor play. 

• Appropriate Clothing for Arts & Crafts: Children should ALWAYS have appropriate clothing for arts & crafts projects as we will continue to introduce activities and projects that allow students to explore their creativity and imagination through art.
