Success Center is an after school opportunity for students to complete school work before going home. Students have access to media center materials including computers and internet. Success Center is staffed by 2-3 staff each day. Students may attend every day or on an as needed basis. We ask that all students be in Success Center by 2:20 p.m. and will be dismissed at 3:30 p.m. Student may be picked up or be given a pass to ride the activity bus.
Math & Reading Academies
Math and Reading academies are an after-school program set up to assist students who struggle with math and reading. The students, with the help of a teacher/Para-professional, meet once a week for 1.5 hours and work on ways to get better in these subjects. Students work with new strategies to assist them in these areas and to help strengthen their abilities on standardized tests. This program is recommended for certain students, but all students, who struggle in these subjects, can sign up for the program.
Organizational Skills Academy
Organizational Skills academy is a program set up to assist students who struggle with keeping organized for the school day. Students can be recommended by the counseling staff and/parents. Students will learn AVID strategies to assist in keeping organized, completing homework, setting goals and much more. Students will do a planner check every session and create ways to stay engaged in their studies.
