Each student in kindergarten through grade 12 receives their own device, and dedicated Technology Support Specialists at every school make sure all devices are working correctly to support student learning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Students Access the App Store?

Students are not able to download applications through iTunes or the App Store. To access all of your students apps, please navigate to Self Service for a complete list of available applications on any district device.

Why Can’t I access Epic!?

Epic! is only available for use weekdays between 6:00am and 4:00pm.

Why Can’t I Login to Schoology?

If you are accessing through Safari on an iPad, please navigate to “settings”, tap Safari, scroll down and tap "clear history and website data." Then, go back to edenpr.schoology.com to login.

Why Can’t I access Microsoft Teams through Schoology?

If you are finding that your Microsoft account says it needs to be "reset" you will need to reach out to our tech department to have your password reset.

Mobile Phone Hotspots

By enabling the hotspot feature on your phone, you can connect a district-issued device to the internet. This will use data if your mobile plan allows only a limited amount of data each month. Many carriers have removed data caps in response to COVID-19. Check with your mobile phone carrier (T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon) before proceeding in order to avoid additional fees.

There is a new program which can assist families with Internet access called the Emergency Broadband Benefits Program!

The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program that provides a temporary discount on monthly broadband bills for qualifying low-income households. If your household is eligible, you can receive:

Up to a $50/month discount on your broadband service and associated equipment rentals
Up to a $75/month discount if your household is on qualifying Tribal lands
A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (with a co-payment of more than $10 but less than $50)

Comcast is offering two (2) months free to new Internet Essentials (phone: 855-846-8376) customers in response to anticipated emergency measures associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus). Spanish and English flyers are available here.

CenturyLink offers Lifeline (phone: 855-954-6546 or 888-833-9522), a low-cost internet service, to individuals who qualify.

Xfinity WiFi hotspots across the country will be available for anyone who needs them for free - including non-Xfinity Internet subscribers. For a map of Xfinity Wifi hotspots in Eden Prairie, visit www.xfinity.com/wifi and enter your zip code.

Eden Prairie Schools is providing this information as a courtesy to families, not as an endorsement of the services provided.

To assist families who may need to show proof of eligibility, Eden Prairie Schools will be sending letters of confirmation of free or reduced-price lunch status to families that have already qualified this year.
