Once your open enrollment application is approved, register your child with Eden Prairie Schools. Click on the registration icons for materials and information.
- Identify student's needs and interests and desirable educational experiences.
- Contact school or district office for information on educational options.
- Visit school; ask questions of principals, teachers, parents, and students.

K-12 Open Enrollment Application Procedure
Open enrolling your child in Eden Prairie Schools is a two-step process. First, complete the Open Enrollment Application and submit it to Laurie Hemstock. Then, complete the student registration forms (Kindergarten or Grades 1-12). These forms can be turned in to Laurie Hemstock at the same time as your Open Enrollment Application.The district will notify the non-resident parent/guardian and the resident district if an application has been accepted or rejected within 30 days of receiving the application for current year enrollment. If your application has been accepted, follow up with our Registration Department to complete the enrollment process for your child.The District will accept applicants in the order applications are received, with consideration given to administrative policy. Some schools/grade levels may be closed to Open Enrollment based on class-size targets or school capacity.If you have missed the January 15 Open Enrollment deadline for the next school year, contact Laurie Hemstock to see if you qualify for a waiver. Open Enrollment Application forms can be downloaded and are available at any school or the district office.
