Seniors, Katherine Berg and Benjamin Moren, have been chosen as Scholastic Art "Silver” Award winners. Their artwork was chosen from over 1200 pieces of artwork. In addition, Joseph Tollefson, also an Eden Prairie High School senior, received a Scholastic Art Merit Award. Only 76 pieces of artwork were chosen as deserving a merit award. Katherine and Benjamin will be honored at a reception at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design on February 18 at 1pm. Their artwork will be on display at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design
Two Triple “A” Award Nominees...
Diana Soran and Kyle Burkhardt have been nominated for the Triple “A” Award. This award given by the Minnesota State High School League recognizes student’s who excel in the arts, athletics, and academics.
Triple "A" nominees are chosen based on:
• their classroom performance,
• their involvement in MN State High School League-sponsored athletic programs,
• their involvement in fine arts activities, and
• their involvement in other school/community activities.
EPHS Pom Squad...
The EPHS Pom Squad was named a National Champion by the Universal Dance Association. The team placed 1st in the jazz category and 3rd in the pom category. Last year, the team placed 3rd in both categories. The National Dance Team Championship featuring high schools from around the nation took place in Orlando, Florida.
