Intermediate District 287 serves high school students by offering courses that are designed to match each student's level of career readiness. Intermediate District 287's Career courses focus on career skill development experiences and decision making, while college major courses can lead students toward a degree, diploma or certificate.
Credits/Scheduling
Each semester class offered at HTC equals 3 credits.
HTC courses are one semester in length. To register, you must use the following # codes:

Career and Skill Building Courses
Career courses are designed to assist you in making career decisions. Hands-on instruction is emphasized. Each course offers a broad array of information from similar careers within an industry. From here, you can branch off into a major for your college career choice. Utilize these credits by enrolling at HTC after graduation.
College Major Courses
(for Associate in Applied Science degrees, Diplomas, and Certificates)
After successfully completing a related career course, you may continue your education by enrolling in advanced level courses or college major courses. This is an excellent opportunity to begin one's college course work while still enrolled in high school. Completion of a college major will lead you toward employment in your chosen career. (Required: college placement testing before registration.)
Many courses meet during the school day, Monday through Friday.
