Prerequisite: Satisfactory completion of English 9 or equivalent
This writing course is for sophomores, juniors and seniors interested in studying the creative process and applying their own creative abilities. Writing experiences include poetry, short stories, and drama. The course demands a commitment to writing, revising, and sharing work as well as a willingness to use one's imagination.
Instructional Methods: Lecture, discussions, group work, research, computer work, journaling, and reading.
Assessment: Major writing assignments will be a large part of the grade in this class. Other assessments include daily work, research, computer work, journaling, and reading. A writing workshop setting will be used.
