Description: Quiz Bowl / Knowledge Bowl is an academic club that competes against neighboring schools in answering knowledge based questions. There are two competition formats, but one team. Both competition formats are Jeopardy-styled, team-based trivia challenges that reward knowledge and expertise in multiple disciplines including literature, history, science, math, social sciences, sports, fine arts, geography, religions, mythology, philosophy, and general knowledge.

Tournaments take place after school and occasionally on Saturdays. The Quiz Bowl / Knowledge Bowl team has won a number of titles at both the state and national level. Team members also run an annual Pop-culture tournament (EPIC) for teams around the metro area. (And you get to use buzzers.)

Requirements/Expectations: Quiz/Knowledge Bowlers must attend tournaments and practices regularly.

Season: Oct-March (State tournament in April & national tournament in May)

Times/Dates: Practice sessions are Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2:50-4:30pm

Registration/Tryouts: Tryouts during practice sessions

Awards/Recognition: Scholastic letter as well as individual trophies for tournament performance. To letter in Quiz Bowl/Knowledge Bowl, a player has to earn points. Points are earned by answering questions
