Doug Boonstra - Head Coach
Coach Boonstra (Boonie) has been head coach of the Nordic program since the 1995-1996 season. He is passionate about the sport, as well as seeing young people develop into confident athletes who are committed to living a healthy lifestyle. Besides skiing, Boonie enjoys running, biking, hunting and fishing. Coach Boonstra lives in Chaska with his wife, Susan, and his three children, Ryan, Corinne, and Hunter.

 

Chris Stensgaard - Assistant Coach
Coach Stensgaard (Stenz) has been an assistant Nordic ski coach since the 1996-1997 season. He enjoys seeing kids develop an interest in a healthy, lifelong sport. His two favorite coaching responsibilities are klistering outside prior to races and being out in the woods at Mesabi for seven hours straight. Actually, improving the home trail system at Staring and grooming the trails with the grooming equipment make the job of assistant coach a blast! If not in his kayak, Coach Stensgaard can be found in Victoria with his wife Sarah, and his three children, Laura, Hanna, and Dane.

 

Amy Wyman - Assistant Coach
Graduate of Maple Grove High School and St. Cloud State with a degree in Community Health. Amy's passionate about the sport and showing others the joys and benefits of the sport. Amy's other interests include traveling, ultimate frisbee, and reading.
