This mark of success begins with outstanding early education. Our comprehensive early childhood programs
, including newborn, parent, special education and preschool choices ensure children are ready for kindergarten. Our elementary schools focus on high standards and a personalized learning approach that centers on each individual’s talents and gifts. All eligible Eden Prairie elementary schools have received the state’s top designations as “Reward” or “Celebration Eligible.” Eden Prairie elementary schools are supported by a strong parent community who cares about its school and students.
Our middle school
excels in transitioning students in seventh and eighth grade from their elementary experience to be a successful high school student. Central Middle School offers a high standards college preparatory program through AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination).
The Eden Prairie Schools experience culminates at the high school where students are given the widest array of athletic, academic and music options of any district in the state. These co-curricular activities go on to achieve countless state and national titles year-after-year. Eden Prairie High School
has been named one of “America’s Most Challenging High Schools” by the Washington Post and is regularly recognized by U.S. News and World Reports, Newsweek, CBS MaxPrep Sports, National Student Clearinghouse, College Board and the University of Minnesota. High school principal, Conn McCartan, attributes their success to student’s preparation at the elementary and middle school levels prior to taking advantage of the many great options the high school offers.
All of this success cannot be achieved without a highly supportive and involved parent community. Their support makes the success of our schools possible. Our parents continue to give us high ratings on overall education quality, teacher performance and communication on important decisions or issues.
